Lauren Kennell joined the ORPM team in June 2021 and was also a summer intern in 2019. She is currently a project manager on the WaTCH-WV project: COVID Epidemiology & Lab Capacity for Prevention and Control, which focuses on detecting COVID-19 in the wastewater system. She is also working with the WV Water Research Institute (WRI) team and provides proposal and project management support.
Lauren has a diverse background in education ranging from a Master’s of Public Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from West Virginia University, B.A. in Psychology from WV Wesleyan College, A.A.S. in Radiography from WV Northern Community College and a certificate in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) from WVU Medicine.
Prior to joining the team, Lauren worked at Ruby Memorial Hospital for the past 6 years as an MRI Technologist managing overnight workflow. She was also chosen to represent WV at the ASRT Leadership Academy, where she presented on medical imaging and principles of leadership and association management at a national conference.
