Angela Barbitta is a Project Manager working in the Office of Research Program Management since 2019, managing projects with the WVU Cooperative Agreement with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) centered on academic biometric research. In addition to her work with the FBI, Angela works with the WVU Research Office of Business Development on a Department of Defense funded AIM Higher Consortium focused on accelerating defense manufacturing research and innovation, and fostering growth within the local defense supply chain.
Prior to her time with the ORPM, Angela graduated from the University of Valley Forge in 2012 with a degree in Social Work. Angela then worked for 7 years in the field of special education before joining the WVU Research Office in an administrative capacity in early 2019.
